James is the Project Manager for the Union Station – Osmington Revitalization project. As Head Lessee, Osmington Inc. is responsible for the majority of Tenant Spaces and some public areas within the Union Station Building. This includes approximately 150,000 sq ft of retail/food space and 40,000 sq ft of public space. This is a phased construction program anticipated to start in early 2015 and continue into 2017.
Since 2011 James has been the Project Manager for the $350-million redevelopment of Sherway Gardens Mall in Toronto. This is a phased redevelopment that includes the demolition of existing parking facilities and portions of the existing mall, construction of three new Parkades, two separate mall expansions (250,000 sq ft and 100,000 sq ft), renovations to the former Sears store and renovation of 150,000 sq ft existing mall public space. James provides ongoing leadership to the project team while working with the Owner and the Construction Managers to deliver the various projects. In addition to the construction program, James works with the Owner’s Leasing and Design teams to lead the consultant team in the preparation of documents for prospective and confirmed tenants.
From 2007 to 2010, James was the Program Manager and then Project Director for the RBC Renaissance III and RBC National Design Service Provider portfolios. In this role he oversaw the management and delivery of 85 branch renovations nationally (Renaissance III) and over 500 studies, surveys, renovations and new-build projects (National Design Service Provider portfolio). This included project teams based in Halifax, Montreal, Toronto, Calgary and Vancouver; Standards Management based in Toronto; and Feasibility Management based in Toronto.
In addition to his project work, James is DIALOG’s National Project Management Leader. He works with and leads a team of Studio Leaders to support and mentor individual Project Managers across DIALOG. This includes the development of an in-house project management training program across all the DIALOG studios.
