Steven Ploeger is an Associate and the Firm’s Laboratory and Science Planning Leader in the DIALOG Toronto studio. He was previously a Principal, and the Science + Technology Market Sector Leader (MSL)—for the Ontario practice—of a large international Architectural firm. With close to 30 years of industry experience in management and professional consulting, Steven has led the development and innovation in the fields of pharmaceutical, biotechnology, investigative laboratory, as well as law enforcement and academic research projects.
Steven’s hands-on leadership approach and collaborative team process has fostered a comprehensive management style amongst clients, consultant teams and a diversity of stakeholders. He is well-versed in the requirements of Good Lab Practice (cGLP), Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP), and compliance standards relating to CSA, CCAC (vivarium design), CFIA, OBC, ‘SEFA’, Health Canada Biosafety Guidelines, Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC) and materials storage (NFPA) facilities.
Steven is a registered architect in the province of Ontario and Nova Scotia, and is an Associate with the American Institute of Architects. He is a member of the International Society of Pharmaceutical Engineers (ISPE), the Ontario Building Envelope Council, Canadian Green Building Council and the Society for College and University Planning (SCUP).
