We are looking for an Architectural Project Manager to join our Toronto Architecture team. How you’ll make a difference:

  • Represent the firm in all communications with the client, from initial effort, throughout the duration of agreement activity
  • Communicate with the Principal in Charge (PIC) relative to project status and performance
  • Prepare firm agreements: define scope, schedule, educate self and client regarding terms, participates in negotiation meetings
  • Maintain understanding of project finances including: terms of agreements, changes in agreement scope, billing process and settlements
  • Schedule meetings, ensure follow-up on decisions and action items, monitor performance of client responsibilities and communicate deviations to client
  • Responsible for completion of all project deliverables as outlined in client contract
  • Establish project milestones consistent with contract agreements
  • Organize and runs project start-up meetings to communicate plan to team; introduce team to clients, agreements, budget overviews, team goals and milestones
  • Familiar with fee arrangements and project schedule requirements
  • Monitors the quality of project work, design and technology to ensure consistency with contractual agreements

Who you are:

  • Post-secondary education in Architecture
  • Minimum 10 years of related experience in retail, mixed-use and institutional projects
  • Proficient in Revit, Microsoft Office
  • Enjoy space planning and solving challenges, providing exceptional design solutions to meet functional criteria
  • Able to read, understand and interpret construction drawings
  • Knowledge of building codes, specifications, construction procedures and materials
  • Able to expedite the decision-making process minimizing downtime and rework
  • LEED experience is an asset
  • Excellent organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills; demonstrated through working with internal and external teams
