DIALOG recognized for elevating the business of architecture in Alberta
We’re excited to share that our Iris Prize internal scholarship program was recognized by Consulting Architects of Alberta (CAA) as a notable effort to elevate the business of architecture. Now in its third year, the CAA Business Awards program was established to recognize initiatives within Alberta-based firms that helps to further the business practice of architecture.
About the Iris Prize
Iris Prize is a chance to look at our world, and our work, through a new lens. The Iris Prize internal scholarship includes two weeks of paid leave and up to $7,500 to conduct field research in an area of personal interest relevant to the practice of architecture, engineering, interior design, planning, urban design, or landscape architecture. The annual competition is open to all DIALOG employees. It fosters curiosity and encourages personal development while we continue to improve the wellbeing of our communities. After completing their research, the recipient(s) tour all of our studios to share their learnings, inspire other DIALOGers to think outside the box, and encourage others to submit creative proposals in the following year’s competition. See last year’s Iris Prize findings here.
We’re on a(n honour) roll
The honours go even further with this awards program. This is the third year in a row that we’ve been recognized! Last year, we were recognized for the exhibits we hosted for Edmonton Design Week, and the year before that, we were recognized for the ElevateDIALOG event we hosted in 2017.
Receiving the award for the third time in a row is very meaningful to us. We have always known that our initiatives like Elevate DIALOG and Edmonton Design Week help push our team forward, but it’s extra special when we see our Alberta peers are noticing and eager to learn from us.
