Planning Resilient Communities, April 3, 2014

DIALOG urban planning and design principal Antonio Gomez-Palacio is speaking at Sandford Fleming Forum at the University of Toronto, University Faculty Club on April 3.  The forum, moderated by Alex Hay, follows a multiple (3) forum theme of urban ecology, which started with Craig Applegath’s vision of a Symbiotic City presented in April 2013. The concept for this forum is to build on the recognition of spatial risk, as it relates to the operation and the wider context to offer an integrated framework approach to managing resilience in a complex urban setting. Antonio also will be presenting an understanding of the interrelationships between operations and risk context in urban communities.

The speakers are:

  • Jim Rosenbluth, Chair of the US Homeland Security Task Force and formerly the Global Security Lead for Cushman & Wakefield.
  • Nick Martyn, CEO and Founder of RiskLogik and developer of the suite of dependency and risk analysis applications for urban resilience planning.
  • Antonio Gomez-Palacio, DIALOG.

Location: University Faculty Club, University of Toronto, 41 Wilcocks St, Toronto, ON

Date: April 3, 2014

Time:  5:30 – 9:00
