UBC Campus Energy Centre wins RAIC CaGBC Green Building Award of Excellence

We’re so proud to announce The University of British Columbia Campus Energy Centre has won a RAIC CaGBC Green Building Award of Excellence! A utilitarian building doesn’t have to be ugly, and it doesn’t have to turn a blind eye to sustainable building materials.

“The predominant use of mass timber and cross-laminated timber, in place of more typically carbon-intensive structural components, reinforces how a project can be exemplary in responding to local challenges,” said the jury.”

Congrats to everyone involved – you’ve set a new bar for design!
