Gerry Doering

Gerry Doering Architect, AAA, LEED® AP | Calgary

During his 15 year tenure with the firm, Gerry has worked on many building types but in recent years his focus has been primarily in commercial office projects. Some of his current project work is leading him into the realm of mixed-use design, which is now becoming a focus for the Calgary studio. Gerry’s recent projects include the Kelly Ramsay Building, 90 Elgin Street, Edmonton Arena District Lands, and The Westmount Corporate Campus. Prior to this he worked on an array of institutional-type projects including fire halls/ fire training complexes, university housing projects, various college buildings and some commercial retail projects. Gerry’s role is most often as a project architect/project manager leading teams that are delivering the work and acting as the face of the firm to our clients.

Gerry has proven himself a strong project architect/project manager who is extremely hard working and dedicated to his team’s success. Clients such as Pangman, GWL, and WAM all compliment Gerry on his collaborative working style, his leadership and responsiveness to their needs.

Gerry has had a very large impact on the Calgary Studio from a number of perspectives. He delivers high quality work and is looked up to by many people in the studio as a leader and a go-to person for project advice and personal advice. He is a strong voice on all aspects of the culture and health of the Calgary Studio and works diligently at making sure the studio is a healthy and happy place for our people to be part of.
