With over 20 years experience in the mechanical engineering industry, Grant has focused his extensive consulting experience on large institutional and commercial projects including health care and laboratory projects, post-secondary facilities, and airports.
Grant has taken a leadership role in sustainable design and health care in Edmonton, which includes LEED CI design for DIALOG’s new office location in Edmonton, expansion and energy upgrades at the Kelowna Airport, and new health care facilities for Edson and Grand Prairie. He continues to be directly involved in project responsibilities from conceptual design through to construction and warranty periods.
Grant is a key team member in DIALOG’s Edmonton studio, and is experienced in system design concepts, life-cycle costing and best practices, mentoring and guidance, quality control, and commissioning. Grant pushes the envelope of sustainable design, incorporating concepts from Net Zero, Living Building and Net Positive philosophies to new mechanical designs. Grant promotes sustainable design concepts early in a project by supporting an integrated design process with the design team and client.
