Jim Montgomery Partner Emeritus, Structural Engineer, PhD, PEng, FCSCE, LEED® AP   | Edmonton

Jim Montgomery is a Partner Emeritus based in DIALOG’s Edmonton studio. Jim has been responsible for the project management, structural design, and construction review of countless bridge, building, industrial, and civil engineering projects. He is committed to working with design and construction teams to achieve innovative, reliable, and serviceable structures within project deadlines and budget constraints. With a down-to-earth ability to get the best out of a team, he also enjoys working with contractors and coordinating the various engineering disciplines on projects. Selected projects include the Francis Winspear Centre for Music in Edmonton, Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness Canada (PSEPC) National Headquarters in Ottawa, the Markin/CNRL Natural Resources Engineering Facility at University of Alberta, the Robbins Pavilion/Lois Hole Hospital for Women at the Royal Alexandra Hospital, and the iconic new Walterdale Bridge in Edmonton.

Jim was APEGA’s 2007 Centennial Leadership Award winner; the most prestigious award offered by the engineering profession in Alberta. He was also the recipient of the Consulting Engineers of Alberta Lieutenant Governor’s Award for Distinguished Achievement in 2010, and became a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Engineers in 2012.
