During 35 years of practice Norm has designed and led a diversity of award winning projects in architecture, planning, and urban design, including the well known redevelopment of Granville Island. Since 1977, Norm has held the post of coordinating architect for the Redevelopment of Granville Island on behalf of the Government of Canada. He has directed the design of numerous waterfronts in Canada, the USA, Australia and New Zealand. Through his work, Norm has pursued his personal interest in the “street” as the lifeblood of a neighbourhood or an individual project, and in making places in the built environment that people truly enjoy.
