Vance brings demonstrated leadership of diverse, multi-disciplinary teams and significant technical and organizational abilities to the firm. Joining DIALOG in 2005, he’s acted as Project Architect for three Canada Line stations along the South Cambie corridor, working with the client group to develop design guidelines for the entire system. Vance also oversaw the coordination of two major public art installations for the Richmond Olympic Oval and currently leads our team on Westbank’s Vancouver House development project.
Vance leads by example and is dedicated to his projects, team and client, having earned the confidence of Westbank’s leader, Ian Gillespie and project manager Bruce Tidball on this significant and sometimes challenging project.
Vance exhibits humility as a leader, embracing constructive criticism, diplomacy and good mediation while providing firm direction for his team and client group. His dedication to using the DIALOG Way as a guide in the development of work plans, schedules and regular team meetings speaks to his organizational abilities as well as his dedication to the firm’s core values.
Vance holds a Masters of Architecture from the University of Calgary and a Bachelors of Arts (with Distinction) from the University of Victoria. In his spare time, he volunteers as a mentor within the RAIC Syllabus program.
