In the Bank
A stylish addition to the skyline connects this contemporary tower to city life
- A timeless tower
The goal for Bankers Court was the creation of a timeless downtown tower that both reflects and complements the scale, presence and quality of the finish at the original Bankers Hall complex. The aspiration was to create office space filled with natural light as well as a lobby and public spaces that relate to the pedestrian environment at street level.
- Granite and natural light
Inspired by the granite and stone used at Bankers Hall, high quality finishes have been used throughout the project. At the ground and above the 15th floor, Canadian sourced granite is used on both the exterior and interior of the building. The remainder of the building is clad in a combination triple glazed and metal panel curtain wall system, optimizing views and permitting ample natural light for the occupants. The main floor is comprised of a two storey, fully glazed entry lobby with a double height wrap-around exterior arcade.
- First LEED® Gold core and shell high-rise office in Canada
Some of the many green features of this office tower include: high performance curtain wall and triple glazing; increased window head height for optimum daylight penetration and daylight harvesting; high thermal mass building frame; water efficient plumbing fixtures and high efficiency mechanical equipment.
- Big city connections
Located in the heart of Calgary's central business district, at the northeast corner of 9th Avenue and 2nd Street SW, Bankers Court anchors one of the City’s most prominent downtown corners. The location of the building, which is close to the city’s LRT network, permits easy access for commuters. Bicycle parking has been designed and provided at both surface and underground locations.
