Northland Makeover

Unveiling the new vision for the ultimate retail experience

Calgary, Alberta

What's old can be made new

Originally constructed in the 1960’s Northland Village Mall is an enclosed shopping centre, anchored by Walmart. It was renovated in the 1990’s and is being redeveloped to better suit the needs of shoppers. The new development will increase the density as well as add residential rental units.

Community Integration

The mall is currently bound by major arterials and adjacent to established neighbourhoods. Soon the location will be pedestrian orientated to accommodate and invite foot traffic. The new development will balance the new vision along with relocating current infrastructure, servicing and tenants.

One step at a time

The master plan will be constructed in stages to allow for operations to continue in the existing centre throughout construction. The development of the master plan is a balance of creating new vision and massing for the project, while being aware of the economics of relocating existing infrastructure and tenants.
