Into the Wild

Halfway between North America’s most radical ski resort and its most livable city, a university student’s perspective is being altered forever.

Squamish, British Columbia

Great Energy

The project includes a sustainably designed recreation centre, learning centre, 350-seat dining hall and academic building. Geothermal energy is the main energy source and is distributed through a radiant slab system.

Unbeatable Study Breaks

Quest University is equidistant to Vancouver and Whistler. Students can either shop on Robson Street or tear some turns in West Bowl and be back in time for class.

Sight Lines

Centered on views of the Pacific Ocean and the Coastal Mountains, Quest is developed on a 97-hectare (240-acre) site located in the visually stunning heart of “Sea to Sky” country. The juxtaposition of the campus and the mountainside created an opportunity for design focused on breathtaking views and inspired academia. The intimate university setting is enhanced by public spaces that are focused on the natural surroundings and framed by a linked series of small-scale buildings.

Self Sufficient

Quest University is Canada’s first secular, not-for-profit and self-sustaining institution, and as such, represents one of the most significant post-secondary educational breakthroughs in Canada today.
