Reach for the Sky

The future of Calgary is downtown. DIALOG is collaborating with Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG) on TELUS Sky, a hub that is pioneering a new way to live and work in the city.

When Two Become One

At TELUS Sky, the best of two building types blend together in a uniform shape. The base and bottom floors are rectangular to create efficient office layouts. As the building rises, the floor plates slowly reduce in size and pixilate creating smaller residential suites with balconies.

Greenery Top to Bottom

A roof garden tops the tower, and a vertical garden doubles as an entry atrium and connects it with the building next door.

Northern Lights

The north and south façades of the tower will showcase the compelling installation by renowned artist Douglas Coupland. Full-colour motion sequences made up of LED lighting wraps around the building's window frames to form an infinite number of patterns and colour displays simulating Canada's famous Northern Lights.

LEEDing the way

The tower is designed to reach LEED Platinum Certification. It will use 35% less energy than a comparable tower and dropping much lower over time.
