TransCanada Pipelines Tower
Pillar of the Community
A landmark in the heart of Calgary, this stand out tower is a signature structure for one of Canada’s energy leaders
- Public Property
A connection to an adjacent public park creates a large plaza and winter garden to the west and south.
- Shine On
Clad in silver on blue-green reflective glazing, with a strong horizontal and vertical mullion expression.
- Air Walk
The building is linked to the +15 system in the downtown core through connections to Esso Plaza to the west and James Short Parkade to the east. The below grade parking on four levels supports 567 parking stalls and storage.
Articulated into two distinct components, the building responds to the urban environments on the east and west boundaries. The western most component addresses the urban corporate aspect of the site context. The design is symmetrical, formally delineated, clad in silver on blue-green reflective glazing with strong horizontal and vertical mullion expression. The eastern portion of the building massing relates to the adjacent, informal urban park, and is clad in green tinted glazing with light green spandrel panels.
