What's your favourite DIALOG initiative?
I have to say that it's our AIA 2030 Commitment to drive all of our project work to a carbon-neutral level of performance. I love that we have taken this stance and are demonstrating action in the face of climate change issues. It energizes me to think about how we will advocate to our clients to design their buildings to carbon neutral in sectors where this is far from the norm.

Charles joined our team in 2012 and immediately started pushing the limits of our sustainability and building performance work. He’s led project teams across Canada, setting ambitious targets and exceeding project goals for environmental sustainability and community wellbeing.

With a background in mechanical engineering, Charles always stays grounded in the technical details of his project work. He encourages his teams to innovate and explore new ways of reducing energy use and carbon emissions. Charles has been a core contributor on some of our most exciting sustainability projects, breaking through new barriers in net-zero energy and carbon-neutral design.

Charles is a firm believer that the transition to a low-carbon economy requires design thinking as well as solutions to inherent social, economic, and financial challenges. His project work is driven by the belief that development with a purpose is essential to delivering the highest returns and sustainable performance.

Charles is always ready to help our clients approach problems from a business and financial mindset, so the right questions are asked and the best solutions are uncovered.

As someone who brings dedication, openness, and a can-do attitude to his design and advocacy work, Charles is committed to finding solutions to environmental issues and climate change mitigation.
