We're thrilled to announce DIALOG has completed the merger of NXL Architects into our practice. NXL is a Canadian leader in the planning and design of laboratories and complex-process facilities for science, technology, and clean industry.
“DIALOG and NXL share a culture that is genuinely collegial and collaborative,” said Jim Anderson, DIALOG Partner and Chair. “Together, we bring an exceptional depth of experience and creative ingenuity to 21st century workplaces that contribute to the wellbeing of our communities and the sustainability of our environment.”
The merger with NXL expands DIALOG’s broad science and technology practice, which continues to work with clients across Canada including almost all of the major universities, numerous health authorities, and the Government of Canada. In addition to major research laboratories for University of Toronto, York University, Ryerson University, Carleton University, UBC, and the University Health Network, NXL has completed more than four million square feet of complex process facilities for companies such as Novopharm (now Teva) Pharmaceuticals, Eurofins CDMO Alphora, Therapure BioPharma Inc., EmpowerPharm, and Septodont Canada. The combined architecture and engineering teams draw upon the lessons learned from a science and technology portfolio that is unsurpassed in Canada.
“By joining forces, we can deliver projects for our clients at a larger scale and complexity and across a broader geographic reach,” said Jay Levine, DIALOG Partner and NXL Founding Principal, pictured above. “We want to help grow a Canadian science and technology ecosystem by bringing together public institutions, private enterprise, and the development community.”
Jay joins DIALOG as our newest Partner and Science + Technology sector lead. He is based in the Toronto studio and will work with DIALOGers across the practice in San Francisco, Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, and Toronto.
